The 12th European Conference on Wood Modification (ECWM12) will take place on 26 and 27 October 2026 in the conference building of the IHD in Dresden.
Every two years, the ECWM conferences offer research institutions and companies, as well as stakeholders, architects and project managers, a forum to learn about the latest developments in wood modification, discuss them with renowned experts and network in a pleasant atmosphere.
The conference will cover all types and aspects of wood modification. These include thermal and chemical modification, resin modification and related technologies such as microwave, plasma and enzymatic processes. The programme will also cover testing methods and standards, environmental issues, quality control and aspects of marketing and markets.
The conference programme is being put together by the ECWM Scientific Committee. The conference language is English. Dr Wolfram Scheiding from the local organising committee and Prof. Dr Holger Militz, chair of the Scientific Committee, look forward to welcoming numerous speakers and participants.
